Vallon D'Arbi in La Tzoumaz in summer

Arbi Valley

It is in the heart of the Vallon d’Arbi – or Chassoure – that the Fare has carved out its course, flowing from Lac des Vaux and Lac Rogneux down to the plain, where it joins the Rhône. It is also from here that the historic Saxon bisse begins. Many animals have made their home on its slopes, making it a very popular spot for walkers seeking unusual encounters. In autumn, you’ll hear the famous bellow of the stag echoing through this unspoilt natural landscape. Whether you choose the Short or Long Walk around the Vallon d’Arbi, the Sentier du Fou or the Long Walk around Lac des Vaux, whichever route you pick, you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied.
