A truly delightful chalet to rent in summer or winter Chalet Les Jeunes is situated only 50m from the Rue Central that runs through the centre of the resort. It is situated in a very calm and quiet location yet only a short walk from the bars and restaurants of the centre or the supermarket, and the free ski-bus stops nearby. The wooden-paneled chalet has been lovingly decorated by the family who own it to give a real home-from home feeling to your holiday. Here you can get away from it all and spend quality time as one or two families or a group of friends, and enjoy traditional evenings enjoying the warmth given by the fireplace.
This four-bedroom chalet comfortably sleeps up to 8 people in two large double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath and separate shower, and an additional guest WC. If you wish to travel with children under 2 years old, just let us know and we will provide a cot and a high chair in your chalet.
The main floor of this large chalet is an "L" shaped living area with open kitchen and large dining table on one side, and a lounge area with comfy sofas and a TV area on the other. A wood-burning stove in the corner provides warmth and mountain atmosphere to the whole area and there are several doors to the garden. The kitchen has plenty of equipment for family catering, including a microwave, espresso machine and filter coffee machine, oven and electric hob. To encourage you to escape the smart-phones and tablets and bond with your family, the owners have chosen not to install a dishwasher as they prefer to use their holiday time to connect with each other and deepen the family bonds. There are fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. Washing machine, hairdryer, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use. Overlooking the lounge area is the mezzanine balcony area leading to the master suite.
There is indoor storage for your skis and bikes, and an entrance area with plenty of hooks designed to store all of your ski wear and boots, helping you to keep all your snow-sports clothing and equipment dry and organised. In the summer, there is plenty of garden furniture and a sunshade so you can make the most of long, lazy barbecue days.
It's hard not to relax when you spend your holidays in a peaceful spot amongst the trees. The resort of La Tzoumaz is well-known for its stunning panoramic views. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, from the floor of the Rhone Valley up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, and in the other direction towards the legendary Vallon d'Arby and its un-pisted ski itinerary. From the balcony you can hear the stream which trickles through the grounds. Take a seat in a comfy chair with a glass of local wine at the end of a hard day on the slopes and soak up the mountain calm. If you are in need of distraction, the TV area in the lounge has a VHS, DVD player and plenty of music and movies to choose from. Also, one of the twin rooms is set up with a TV, VHS & DVD player and a number of videos and DVDs so is perfect to keep the kids occupied and let you hear the peace and quiet. There is also a range of books in both Dutch and English for you to read. A short walk takes you to "Les Trappeurs" a traditional bar / cafe restaurant popular with the locals, where you can also book a session on the nearby village tennis court.
Chalet Les Jeunes is equipped with free high-speed WIFI for your personal use during your stay.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We'll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier.
In the peak summer season from early July to late August, the telecabin link to Verbier operates daily from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
