The trail starts below the La Tzoumaz cable car mountain station (2,320m) and ends at the Les Etablons intersection (in La Tzoumaz, 1,640m). The total length of the trail is 4.3km and it covers a difference in altitude of 680m, giving an average gradient of 16%.
The trail, called "Chôtatai" (which means "sit down" in local dialect) is classified as blue (easy) with a few stretches of red (medium difficulty). It has a good flow and features a number of jumps.
The first quarter of the trail will be open from 14 July and covers a length of roughly 1km with a difference in altitude of 150m.
Riders should follow the scooter trail (mountain route) once they have left the mountain bike trail.
Please note that the warm summer weather means the trail is dusty and not fully compact.
Work will begin again in mid-August and will finish at the end of September. The trail will be officially operational from the 2019 season onwards.
