Wood sculpture symposium
A HIGH-WIRE EVENT



International art meets the public

They come from Canada, France, Switzerland, Italiy, Russia, Costa Rica, Germany or Czech Republic with their imagination, talent and heart to participate to this high wire artistic event.

Initiated in 2007 by art lovers, Montagn’Art event reunites every year the best wood sculptors of the world. It is a unique opportunity for the artists to share their passion with the public generally fascinated by the mystical art of wood carving.  Also a great way for the local population and turists to discover this great kind of art in the unique and wonderful scenery of the wallis Alps. 

In over 10 years, the International wood carving Symposium  (SISB) managed to evolve and is nowadays a turistical event not to be missed in Wallis.  

Montagn’Art is a very appealing meeting for wood carvers of the  entire world. It also has a social purpose as it invites each year one or a few associations.



Closing day Saturday, August 10:

Presentations of the works at the Collons 1800, from 10am

Various fun and musical activities (bouncy castle, forest walk, sawing competition,...)

CIMES folk dances 

Exhibition Valais Forest

Canteen and rehearsal from 10am to 8pm

Public voting from 10am to 5pm

Results at 6pm
