Political and tourism authorities ask the population and second homes owners NOT to travel to the resort. The Swiss Federal Council and the Federal Office of Public Health's watchword is "Stay at home!"

Bus services in Verbier have immediately been stopped and won't run until further notice, since safety distances between users cannot be guaranteed due to overcrowding.

Avoid overloading hospital emergency rooms. The Cantonal Police, rescue professionals and the Valais Hospital call for responsibility and civic duty on the part of sportsmen and women, and ask that activities involving a certain degree of danger, such as ski touring, paragliding, mountaineering, etc., be limited as much as possible. For those who enjoy hiking or snowshoeing, beware of avalanche danger.

We kindly remind you to scrupulously respect these precautionary measures, including keeping safety distances and avoiding gatherings of more than five people.
